My children are the main reason why I use a homemade all-purpose cleaner. Did you know that the EPA has shown that the air inside our homes is often more polluted than the outdoors? According to Elsa M. Jacobson (regional director of the Chicago Green Festival), “Homemade healthy cleaning products can often be used for more than one purpose, so one homemade product will replace several specialized commercial products”.

What You Will Need

– You will need spray bottles to store the products. These can be found at the Dollar Stores.

– 1/2 cup white vinegar

-1/4 cup baking soda (or 2 tsp. borax)

– 1/2 gallon hot water

– Mix all the ingredients together in the spray bottle. Shake until the borax and baking soda is dissolved.

This cleaner can be used to clean and disinfect most surfaces. If you are using this to clean marble surfaces, replace vinegar with lemon juice.

I hope that you enjoy making this recipe as much as I do!

Do you make your own homemade cleaners?
