Many companies today claim that their products are “pure” “natural” and “organic”. Consumers often believe this despite the fact that this information is often misleading.
In the United States, no legal standards exist for natural or organic hygiene products. Companies often use false information that is misleading to the public. For example, one company that I know of advertises that their brand of shampoo provides an organic experience while using it. After reviewing the ingredients on the shampoo bottle, I learned that it contained numerous toxic chemicals.
To my surprise, top selling products that claim to be natural and organic contain 1,4-dioxane. This is a synthetic chemical carcinogen. A few years ago I made the transition from conventional brands to natural and organic products. I even make some of my own!
These products can sometimes be expensive and difficult to find. Why not make your own?
Recently I started making my own shampoo. It is simple to make and costs pennies per use. This way I am certain that I am avoiding dangerous toxins. To find this simple recipe follow the link below.
You do not have to spend a fortune to avoid toxins. A bit of creativity can go a long way.
Do you make your own shampoos, hygiene products, or what organic makeup company are you purchasing?
